Toyin Saraki is an active philanthropist and contributes significant time and funds to social projects in Nigeria and elsewhere. Through the Wellbeing Foundation she has provided assistance to many communities and individuals. Below are some of The Wellbeing Foundation’s beneficiaries:
Jamiu, who lost his eyes during a violent assault, has been treated and rehabilitated by The Wellbeing Foundation. Toyin’s funding has enabled him to now receive a formal education at Kwara State School for Special Needs.
Folasade, abandoned as a deaf and mute child, was sponsored to complete her vocational education as a fashion-designer and tailor. She was then assisted in establishing her own business and has been re-united with her parents.
Toyin also recently visited HMP Pentonville with Only Connect, a charity working to rehabilitate prisoners and ex-prisoners in London. She visited to see how prisons are run in the United Kingdom and what lessons could be learnt for Nigerian prisons.
Toyin met with Nigerian inmates and promised that The Wellbeing Foundation would send Nigerian newspapers to Nigerian prisoners to update them on current activities in Nigeria. She has also donated £5,000 to support the organisation
